I wish Nokia would just announce all the phones and what is on what carrier.

Seriously.

No it depends on the carrier not Nokia. If Verizon announces a 920 variant p. then Nokia will do the same. It's up to the carriers to do that. And yes I think there will be a 920 variant.

I hope that there is a thinner and lighter variant. Although I'll be quite annoyed if it comes out right after I purchase the 920.

This may be wishful thinking but; yeah, I think there will be a 920 variant on Verizon. Nokia already said there will be custom made devices for the carriers. So I think by making a minor change in something will allow Nokia to release the device on different carriers. They have a history of it, and we just saw it today with the T-Mobile announcement on the 810 (820) device.

Hopefully! Verizon claims they will be giving wp8 the droid treatment. Without a top Nokia device this seems hollow.

It depends, currently even the factore unlocked 920 wouldn't work on T-Mobile as it doesn't support its AWS bands.

I doubt that we'll see a T-Mo 920 (910?) right after the 920 launches on AT&T, it will probably remain an exclusive for at least 6 months before it makes its way to other carriers. If Nokia was smart, they'd release a T-Mo variant and a VZ variant, as right now they need to focus less on getting themselves as an AT&T "premium" brand, and more so on just gaining back their North American market share.

Here's hoping for a pentaband 920, I'd love to use it on WIND here in Canada.

The only variant seems to be the Lumia 8xx. There's this new 810 the 820 previously announced and the upcoming 822 on Verizon. Don't think there's going to be any other 9xx. Would be pretty weird. Just like the thought of Nokia releasing next year another higher end version of the Lumia 920.

I don't think that they'd release a "higher end" 920 per se, just one supporting different bands or CDMA.
