did Anyone tries to flash RM-985 rom on AT&T Nokia 830 (RM-983)?

Did it work and any differences?

Thanks!

It might not work. 2 reasons:

1) The newer AT&T phones are not cross-flashable with other variants (e.g. 920/1020/1520)
2) AT&T Lumias have a different wireless charging standard, some have Qi only, some PMA only, some both. This means different hardware (along with radio bands)

RM 985 is one of roms for nokia 830 tho. It's different RM number but rm-985 is Latin America which has ATT LTE band.

Nokia 830 RM-985 will be out on the market eventually.

Its already out on Rogers, Telus, Fido and Claro. I have an unlocked variant myself

The 983 also supports PMA charging (in addition to Qi) and has carrier aggregation for LTE as well. I doubt the 985 ROM will work on a 983, but if someone else wants to be the guinea pig, then I'll be interested to see how it goes.

RM-985 works best with T Mobile in USA including LTE. RM-983 is best for ATT that's why the 830 sold by ATT is RM-983

RM-985 works well on ATT LTE :)
Why would you have a RM-985, ATT own variant RM-983 works best doesn't it ? unless they (ATT) are stupid. TM's LTE uses 1700, 1900, 2100 and in places like LA, NYC, Boston - ie large metropolitan areas 700 too according to several TM techs but that sometimes is a crap shoot getting the correct answer from TM

Here what MS Mobile Devices say: You can only use your RM-985 device on the LTE 700 (17), 850 (5), 1700 (4), 1900 (2), 2600 (7); WCDMA 850, 900, 1900, 2100; and GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz networks.

RM-985 supports all the LTE and 3G bands that AT&T uses.
RM-985 would be unlocked, so no "fight" with AT&T to unlock it (like if you bought a RM-983 from AT&T).

You can flash any rom with the same RM code. For example different country variants with same RM numbers can be flashed on a phone but you cannot change your RM code you can only change your product code which looks like 059W4P1
