[APP] Folder Play. Simple music player for WP8.1 to play files in folders

Hello all

As our Pocket File manager for WP8.1 lost ability to play music in background (Thank you Microsoft for our happy childhood). We decided to write separate application to play music in folders. The main purpose for this player is to play file by file from the folder. It does not use play lists, does not use IDTags and so one. Simply solution : folder=play list. To add folder in to the collection, bring up the menu and tap on "+" button.

Application is still in development so expect a few bugs





Some bugs or strange behavior:
At first run after installation sometimes when you select folder it won't be visible. If you got such behavior, kill application and run again.
At first run when you select any file to play, application might not change play button to pause button. Same here. Kill app and start again.

Nope. This player does not have its own decoders. It uses WP to play music, so if WP will support flac, it will play, but as I know flac is not supported by WP

Very nice and useful app. Thank you! No more error messages. If it would support lossless audio it would be just perfect.

Small updated just published today. Now player will show cover for each track, if track has cover image integrated into it.

Also one tip about album covers.
If you do not have album logo in your mp3 files, just put file "folder.jpg" inside the folder and it will be used as album cover

But I pushed an updated version. After last WP8.1 update some thing were changes in OS and if you did add SD Card to app it might crash now.

Hey Ray,

Love the app and the fact that it can goto the app through the volume bar!
I have a suggestion. Could you make the app tile be live and give a toggle for transparency? I know that you'll have to create a new set of icons, but I would really love to have them!

I also encountered a bug. For example if I'm scrolling through the folder real fast (I have the songs positions memorized ) The list randomly jumps between Left aligned and right aligned to center.
