App store live tile doesn't show update count

Hi guys, I have installed WP8.1 Dev preview. I require the following :

I don't want the apps to be installed automatically. I only want the count to reflect on the live tile irrespective whether I'm on my data plan or Wi-Fi

What settings must I have in the app store ? Also how often does the app store sync ?

So in the Store settings, turn off automatic updates then you should get the previous functionality of the store checking about every ~24 hours or so. I haven't tried it that way since upgrading to 8.1, but I haven't heard that it works any different outside of the auto update feature and the ability to manually check now.

What does Only get updates over Wi-Fi mean ? I have kept it ON. Does it means only when Wi-Fi is on and the time has arrived to sync it will sync? what if my data plan is on at the moment of syncing ?

I would turn "Cellular" off while connected to Wi-Fi. That way you're sure to be using only Wi-Fi.
