[APP] Week View - A calendar app with many options and different live tiles

Hi,

i am the developer of "Week View", a calender app for windows phone 8.

Although the name suggests, it is much more than a "week view" for your appointments. :smile:
It is optimized for windows phone 8, supports HD resoluition, all tile sizes and voice commands.

The major features are:

- Week view, of course of your appointments in a readable form, even if you have more appointments per day/appointments with longer subject text
- A month view with readable appointment text and different size options
- Searching for appointments by subject, location and detail text
- Voice commands, you can say "Start week view and show next appointment" => It reads your next appointment to you.
- Configurable Live tiles (up to 3 different tiles with configurable content) + the option to pin a specific appointment to the phone start screen.
- View a whole year to quickly navigate to a month
- Create appointments in all calendars that are configured on your phone, edit/delete appointments in windows live calendar
- Show different calendar categories (birthday, private, office, ...) + shared calendars in different, configurable colors, even on the live tile, if you like.
- Show details for private windows live appointments (most other calendar apps cannot do this)
- Use replacement icons for subject texts (example: candle icon for "birthday") to enhance the overview

Week View has a free trial version so i would highly appreciate if you test it + give me some feedback if you like and...and of course also if there are things you don't like!

Hello Hannes and thanks for your app!
I bought it twice, one for me and one for my girlfriend because I think it's one of the best calendar app out there! The latest update bring lots of new feature, like the month live tile with days (I suggest this feature and you make it real, thanks!).
I could suggest two more feature:
1-second and third live tile are not translated, and so some text inside app (I'm Italian)
2-when swiping in setting menu, the title on the top is not sync with the window movement

@Tyrion1984: Thank you for your reply. According to translations: I rely on user that help me, translating my app to different languages. At the moment "Week View" supports 12 languages and i hope, i can add the italian language with the next update. I tested the swiping in the settings menu and it works well on my phone but i will check this twice.

@zokstar: Thanks + please also give me feedback, if you like it.

@abel920: Hmm..you can use it as some kind of "timetable" but i agree, it's no way optimized for a "timetable view". It's optimized to replace the windows phone calendar.

Please also test the voice commands - for example you can say "start week view and show the next appointment" - it reads the next appointment to you.
I want to enhance this feature in the next version + also work on other user suggestions i get frequently.

Hi Hannes,

I bought the Week View 8 calendar and am having some problems with it which I find really frustrating. An appointment was cancelled so I tried to erase it, but although it said it was done on the phone it took about a day for it to disappear on the calendar or tile. Yesterday I needed to update the date of an entry, but it wouldn't let me and eventually instead I managed to delete or so it said according to the phone message, but it is still showing and each time I try to delete again the same message as before appears, " The appointment has not been loaded from your Windows :ive ( shouldn't it say Live?) which is required to get its identifier. Please try again in a few seconds." This comes up any time I try and repeat the delete now. A calandar needs to be updateable. Please help! :unhappy:

Bought it yesterday and it's so far the calendar app I've liked the most, so keep up the good work!

That said, I would like to ask for a small cosmetic feature: would it be possible on the live tile, when you choose to use custom colors that only the small bar on the left uses the color and the text remains with the default one? And also, is it possible to display the time in a 24h format?

*edit* Just noticed by selecting "phone settings" options instead "english" does the trick for that.
