Hi Everyone

Just got my Nokia Lumia the other day and what i noticed when playing around with the sales person 900 is the applications are all categorised into A, B, C and so on. I thought it was a default setting so didn't ask how to do it. But I noticed that this is not the case on my phone .. is there some menu option to switch this on.

Many thanks

The letters don't appear in the app list until you reach 45 apps or something like that.

Yep. Another "we think for you" feature of WP. Below 40 apps and it is only a flick or two to see your whole list. Plus the alpha navigation would be cumbersome (take up as much space as the apps). But after passing 40+ apps, alpha navigation starts to make sense.

WP is not into providing long lists of toggle options, so you can't turn this on or off. It's a minimalistic, noob friendly, approach, that can sometimes frustrate power users.
