Hello all, name's Aaron. Own a Focus S and HD7s both on AT&T.

Just curious if this has been discussed as of late because I was just thinking of this in anticipation of my next WP purchase, which will be a 920.

Say for example, you have a ton of applications/games that you paid for and are associated with you Live account on your WP7.x device and you purchase a new WP8 device at launch - will you be able to re-download the apps/games you paid for and use them on the new WP8 device if you use the same Live account and granted the apps/games are developed for WP8?

Any insight to this inquiry would be much appreciated as I'm more than likely not the first person who has wondered this. Preferably solid info rather than "I think so" or "I heard". Thanks.

if you use the SAME live account yes! you can get them all back,

and Most if not ALL WP7 games/apps will work on WP8,

I know some DEV`s are working on the WP8 version of their WP7 app but i cant tell you if does are gona be free , up to the DEV`s i think.

im thinking they wont be free cause its not gona be an update but a NEW app for WP8.


only time will tell
