The W10 Mail App crashes (after 1 to 5 minutes use) since last insider upgrade to 14342.1002,
and probably other Apps (but not visible - crashes in the background presumably) as eventvwr records suggest.
At the time of the Mail App crash, I see the following record in the log:
Erreur ...timestamp... Apps 5973
?chec de l’activation de l’application ...AppID... avec l’erreur*: Acc?s refus?. Pour plus d’informations, voir le journal Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Op?rationnel.
I could find the translation it is
Activation of app ...AppID... failed with error: Access is denied. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information
see also App-Erros.txt file for details
Provider Name=Microsoft-Windows-Immersive-Shell
EventID=5973
AppId=Microsoft.People_8wekyb3d8bbwe!x4c7a3b7dy2188y46d4ya362y19ac5a5805e5x
ErrorCode=-2147024891
This repeated for several Apps and servel times for each App - as an example, last time it was for:
Microsoft.People_8wekyb3d8bbwe!x4c7a3b7dy2188y46d4ya362y19ac5a5805e5x
C27EB4BA.Dropbox_xbfy0k16fey96!App
microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe!ppleae38af2e007f4358a809ac99a64a67c1
Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy!CortanaUI
...
many other applications but surprisingly enough not the Mail app (or not that I saw so far)
even if when I use Mail App, the time of its crash always coincide with the timestamp of these records
(so I believe there is some kind of correlation).
The message suggest to look at the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log but I can't find such log in the Event Viewer.
Also some comments I found on Internet suggest Cortana may be the issue - I deactivated Cortana
(actually it isn't available fro French in Belgium but since 14342 version you can now select a language/region different from the default)
So, by "deactivating", I mean, I selected the default language which results in preventing Cortana to be used.
Any Idea welcome as not being able to use Mail is a quite critical issue.
Thanks. Pierre
