Are favorites carried over to Microsoft Edge?

Today I started trying Microsoft Edge for the first time and noticed that I can't find my list of favorites which I have on Internet Explorer. In WP8/8.1 the list used to show up after I hard reset my phone, so I am wondering if Microsoft Edge has its own list of synchronized favorites, or if I have messed up with my WM10 where the browser couldn't synchronize to my account.

For me, they are all in the "Phone" folder of the favorites.

I accidentally opened this in the Windows 10 forum when I actually meant the Microsoft Edge on Windows Mobile 10.

But I got the same problem on Windows 10 when I didn't create my MS account during a clean install. I reinstalled Windows and added my account during the Windows setup process and my favorites were carried over successfully from IE this time.

Tried to do the same with a hard reset of my Windows Mobile 10 but favorites were not there even when adding my MS account during the setup process.

I hope an admin can move this thread to the Windows Mobile 10 discussion.
