A live.com address is the email id that I have used for back up and all other stuff in my Lumia 520. Recently I heard that all ID's with domain except outlook will be closed and my mail will be received in outlook domain. What is it actually? Should I start an Outlook account? Please help.

Discontinued? I still have a Hotmail address. It is converted to outlook at live but it is still Hotmail.
I thought I read somewhere the name on all was going to be simply, Microsoft Account. Should have done that long ago.

I just created an @live.com account. Maybe they're discontinuing it, but you can still create them.

How did you manage to register it? Whenever I try to register a @live.com address I get the message "This email is part of a reserved domain. Please enter a different email address."

What they're discontinuing is custom domains, and even those current addresses will work indefinitely. It used to be that if you had your own domain, you could get free Microsoft-hosted email for that domain. They're discontinuing that in an attempt to push people to Office 365.

How can I create a live.com alias? all I can see is outlook.com/outlook.in. I'm currently with live.in alias and want to switch to live.com

I have an @msn.com email address which were discontinued years ago to make, but they're still in use, obviously.
