No, my guess is within 2 weeks.

It has already been fixed. AT&T has begun rolling out official WP 8.1/Cyan for 1020 and 1520 for those who are still on DP. In Germany T-Mobile has started rolling out for 920.
What I don't get though is the constant complaining about lags, bugs, issues and whatnot. I know it's common attitude these days to sign up for anything one doesn't have to pay for without even reading the - in this case not so - fineprint. If you want to use the most stable, reliable, fast and efficient version of any OS, you're better off foregoing anything clearly labeled as BETA.

Offcourse you have a point... But if you were using the WP 8 and was waiting for 8.1 then you would understand my level of excitement on april 14. It was impossible to handle and was surly going to do this...

I'm still using 8.0 on my 1020, while my 1520 is rocking WP 8.1 DP. I have yet to receive Cyan. And shall I tell you what? I couldn't care less about it. It won't change a thing about the OS, the only thing that will get updated is the firmware. Great, so the camera, battery consumption and some other tiny bits will be improved, but they're good enough already anyways. Yes, the DP has its - expected - downsides, like resuming every once in a while or laggy homescreen, which hasn't really affected me so far, but I know others on slower hardware are definitely affected by it. Let's be honest here, Cyan won't change much about that. The only proper way to resolve those issues are by performing a hard reset after installing an update.

About your level of excitement.. I've been using Windows Phone ever since its initial release. I've updated to Mango while there wasn't any official OTA path, but you had to flash your device. I've taken part in every single DP Microsoft offered, yet I've always been well aware of any side effects this might have had. And so should ANYONE who takes part in betas. If you do, there's not a single reason to complain.

That doesn't even make sense... Not getting an update has nothing to do with lag... Youre friends sound like the typical ignorant android fanboys (I have friends like this too)

Agreed...but I have right to ask for a fix....and that's what I did.....i have seen my friend's phone ( the same as mine ) has no issues as he is on cyan...so cyan definitely fixes it.

it ddoesn't lags without the startscreen background pic....in my case...

Its a known bug. If you use live folders with picture background (for instance more than 6), the scroll/navigation becomes a bit laggy.
I resolved this issue by amalgamating live folders and tiles on start screen (of course, used picture background). I have 6 live folders and rest app tiles and it works just like butter smooth.

The fix has been released for ATT 1520... My wife's phone went from 8.1 update 1 to cyan firmware last week... So it's on it's way
