I want to develop, mainly out of interest. Alas, the windows phone emulators won't run on my laptop due to lack of virtualization, so for the moment I can only dream!

Ultimately, I'd like to make a better calendar, but whatever I do would be just for myself. If I were to develop for a wider audience, my apps would all be free and without adverts.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but you can plug in your WP (if you have one) to act as an emulator when developing. That's what I'm doing on my 32bit tablet.
