Doesn't help you walk into a store to buy a phone and there isn't a Windows phone on display and none of the reps know about them. This was Verizon during Windows 8.1, no handsets in the store and staff not trained on how they work or features.

That was a solid article, thanks for sharing. To this day, people are still surprised that Windows on a phone is a thing. It's either surprise or they have memories of how it was and how they didn't like it, but that's like a small amount of people though.

I personally never knew anyone with a Windows phone until I had one myself.
