AT&T Nokia 1520 (16 gb not enough space)

same here. SD card won't help in case of many applications. That was a mistake of ATT executives to save money & cut memory for 1520 US market from standard 32 Gig to 16 Gig.
Obviously they did not realize that applications can not run from SD card on win phone. They just added a stone to Nokia grave...:-)

Will 8.1 allows the camera to store pics on the sd card or no . As I have 925 at the moment after downloading offline maps with apps and 1080 videos I have 3 gigs left ..

you can store media on the card already
go to settings, phone storage, and select SD in the options at the bottom.

The problem however, is that the 925 does not have an SD slot, so its a hardware design issue, not one that can be magically fixed with 8.1

Problem mostly solved. Whereas most of my apps work fine on the SD card, my Garmin Navigon App doesn't seem to like to run from SD. And here, I was planning on downloading the whole country.

OTOH, with all my Audible books successfully moved off phone storage, I guess I have the space to spare on the phone now.

So with WP8.1 on the horizon could anyone recommend the 32GB over the 16GB? Bear in mind I have a 64GB Micro-sd card ready to go, I'm just curious if it's still worth having the extra internal space.

I think the most relevant question is whether you can get enough storage on an SD card that's fast enough to record/playback video without stuttering.

I am curious as well.. I want to pull the trigger but, I am afraid the video recording stutter issue.
