AT&Ts 1520 On Aio Wireless, does it have to be unlocked?

I've been wanting to get a 1520, and while Aio Wireless is on Atts networks I know that Locked iPhones don't work unless there unlocked. Does anyone know if it is the same for locked WPs too?

Or is there a version of the 1520 that's unlocked and supports atts LTE bands (It would be Nice to get Qi Charging built in and more space, but beggars cant be choosers)

The AT&T lumia 1520 should work on AIO without having to unlock the phone. I use my 1520 on straight talk without unlocking.
If you are buying the phone out right, you can request an unlock code from AT&T.

I used the 1520 on AIO with no unlocking needed. No APN or anything - just pop the sim in and go. This rings true for all ATT devices. I am back to my 1020 on AIO now.

that's weird because I had to unlock my iphone 5 when I switched from att to aio. I just bought a 1520 with a cracked screen for 275$ and was hoping to be able to use it. I'm not sure how much it costs to unlock it, or if it's even possible yet.

ps. isn't aio the best thing ever!? 60$ bucks for 5gb! can't beat it anywhere.

I hope you're right. maybe they changed their operation because when me and my wife signed up in September our iPhones wouldn't work until I unlocked them.

Thanks guys, Oh and vw1610 dont forgat its 55 with auto pay xD, the speeds after you hit the cap isn't bad at all either, I was still able to stream music from Pandora with only like a sec delay, and videos as long as it wasnt high def lol

you were right. My newly purchased 1520 works without an unlock.
