At what time will WP8.1 be released..if it is released tomorrow?

apparently the first update wasnt windows 8.1!
apparenty its a Pre-Update
after installing i checked Phone update again
and this time its the real deal
now im downloading it and its takin more time to dwonload! soon the wait will be over !

Does the phone require a sim to be installed to get the update? I don't have one in (just hooked to wifi) and 'checking for updates' keeps saying "Your phone is up to date, last checked about a week ago" My sim is in a different phone and I've been using that for a week.

It's as intrusive as you allow it to be. And unlike some other assistants, at least you have the choice...

You'll have to install update 2 times. The 1st update was about 15 minutes. Then the next one was like 40 minutes.
