ATT U-Verse and Xbox live gaming

I'm unhappy with my broadband connection with Cox cable. I was looking into ATT U-Verse 6mbps. I know that upstream is important with gaming. U-Verse has higher ping and slower upstream, but does anybody here game with U-Verse? Can you game, or is it too slow?

My son has u-verse and I've never heard him complain about gaming. I know he does some online games with his friends But I'm sure things can vary between different cities.
