Australian Woolworths global roaming

Hi there,
I am heading overseas, so I purchased a Woolworths global roaming sim card thinking that it should work fine on my phone.
Now I cannot to a network, calling or data network.

Can anyone help me out ? I would have thought if they work with android and iphone it should work with windows 8.1 ?

Is the phone unlocked?
All bets are off if the phone is still locked. (like if it hasnt been explicitly unlocked and under ATT or T-Mo's wing.)

Yep its unlocked, I purchased it outright, so no plans or anything like that.

Normally when something goes wrong you simply wont have data and mms.

I sure hope its something as simple as being out of a coverage area.

Can you confirm the supported bands match up?

All the phones I've bought were purchased outright new without any plan. But they were all locked to a carrier until I had them unlocked. In my case the carrier they were locked to was my first choice so I got the unlock codes from the carrier for free after using the phones for a few months.

So can you confirm your phone is not locked?

Just remembered this thread The simcards ended up being faulty. I tried in a couple of other phones, Android etc and they didn't work and the tech support said to send them back.
