Auto-capitalization issue since 7.5 update?

Has anyone else noticed that auto-capitalization of the first word in a sentence with test messages (and possiby elsewhere as well) isn't working consistently since the 7.5 update? My wife and I have seen this on both of our LG Quantums. When it happens if you delete the first character it capitalizes it correctly. Could be related to switching to landscape mode and sliding out the physical keyboard.

I haven't notice that issue on my Trophy. I also don't have a keyboard and normally type in portrait mode.

I've seen it on occasion with my Quantum when I use the keyboard (I rarely use the virtual keyboard), it is more of a nuisance then anything.
