Auto correct "i" to "I"?

My keyboard won't auto-correct "i" to "I" when typing messages? How do I get it to do this without having to manually select the i and capitalise it?

I'd be interested in this as well - it's odd the keyboard is not auto capitalising letters, and adding in appropriate apostrophes.

Im using uk English.

It doesn't underline the "i" as anything misspelt but if I press it, it will suggest "I". Just not sure why it wouldn't do it automatically?

I had the same problem, you have to download the English US version and use that, worked for me fine !!

I'm in Ireland and it worked grand for me, there's only a few words the Americans spell slightly differently

You don't have to set your language and region to US, just your keyboard. Go to settings → keyboard and add English US :wink:
