Backup of settings failed

I've been having a problem backing up my 920 for about a week. Gets 97% through,hangs for a bit and then tells me there was a problem backing up my settings,try again later. Has anybody else had this issue. I'm running 8.1 on dev preview with latest updates. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Only issue you might check = Backup goes to OneDrive & my backup is ~~ 3.5mb, depending on your apps installed could be (much) larger.

Do you have enuff FREE space on OneDrive ?

I have 1 TB of storage on OneDrive. I also have a Lumia 520 on Dev Preview which backs up fine. Thanks for the suggestion though.

After about a month of no backups after installing the developer preview of WP8.1, I deleted my previous backup and then tried again. It has been backing up fine ever since. The weird part is that I'm pretty sure that I had already deleted the previous backup before that, but I decided to try again because I read on another forum that that was the solution to this issue.

I have tried that and still get the error. It is creating a backup on Onedrive but gives me an error at the very end. I'm not sure whether to trust that backup and do a reset and restore???? I wish ATT would release Cyan for the 920 already.

lozlo, you are not alone my 920 is doing exactly the same after the update to 8.1, apart from countless other problems, with the worst one, my MS Account reverted to some account I had some 15+ years ago, no password, and MS don't recognise the user name (email either). Total mess.

This feature is severely broken it's not even funny. I am trying to backup my Lumia 920 right now with WP8.1 Update 1 so that I can downgrade to 8.0 and get the Cyan update. However, it kept saying can't backup after hitting 96%. I think a lot of people are still having this issue, so it's nothing new. My problem is that MS hasn't solved this yet so my confidence in them isn't good. Actually, I am pretty pissed that it hasn't worked properly even ONCE when I press the "backup now" button. EVERY FVKING time it says can't backup even after deleting the previous backups.

PS: The only good news is that text messages are backed up independently from this setting. You should get your text back properly. All settings and customizations will obviously not restored.

Mine only goes to 16% and stayed there. Can't back up anything :'(

There was a news price on WP Central a little while ago about this. It said delete any previous backups and try again and it should work. It didn't....

Yup. Still get the error after deleting backup from one drive. It does create a backup on one drive I just don't know if it is complete since it errors at 97%.
