Bad Audio!

I tried to rec. some video in a club yesterday and the audio sucks!

I have recorded 3 vids from different positions all far from the speakers but the only thing that i can hear is a bad distortion of the bass.Audio not clear at all.

Anyone experienced the same?

Guys please help me a few minutes because i am thinking to return the phone and getting a new one but i'd like to hear some comments before

Ahh that's terrible! Mine sounds perfect. I would swap it if I were you!


At least try a demo with a store sample and see if it's better.

Sorry for bringing back dead thread, but my lumia 900 has the same exact issue. It is not limited to high volume recording either.

Same problem here. Looks like we need to get it replaced since not all people have this problem.

You don't have a case covering the other mic do you? Not sure that would matter or not.

It seems to be happening to my Nokia Lumia 900 as well. It only sound distorted in close area.

If you compare the samples from 900 to iPhone, you'll notice that the iPhone does not pick up any of the bass. I think the 900 is doing a better job of picking up all of the sounds, but it's maxing out it's range. Hence the distortion.

I'm not all too bothered by it though, I'm pretty confident that the next generation phones will be outstanding as they integrate some of the Rich Recording technologies.

Good question. If they are recoding with a case, try it without the case
