Band 3 will offer "vertical view" in addition to current horizontal view. Just like the new Samsung Gear

Although Microsoft Band is marked as a sprots wear, I hope the screen can be made a bit larger.

I mean, increasing the width a bit (maybe 30%) while fixing the length of the screen, i.e. less recetangular.

With increased width, the screen may display 2 rows of tiles, which is more user-friendly. Also, more information can be displayed.

Band can potentially be a big hit if it is appealing to those considering to buy a smartwatch.

That should be easy to do with only slightly more cost.

Took some snapshots from the live stream video of the band panos was wearing. Is there a white colored band 2 or is it one of the prototypes of band 3.
