Band with iPhone X?

I just discovered that my new iPhone X will not see my Microsoft Band. I unregistered it from the old iPhone 6 and did a reset.

Bluetooth on the X doesn't see it but the 6 and my desktop machine both do. I was able to pair the iPhone X with the desktop so I know its Bluetooth is actually working.

I suspect that it has something to do with how old the Band is and the fact that iPhone X has Bluetooth 5.

Does anybody have this specific combination working and what did you have to do? Does Band 2 work with iPhone X? I might be able to get the wife to swap bands, or phones, she has an iPhone 8+ and Band 2, working just fine.

And now, it is working. Whilst trying to pair it back to the old phone, all of a sudden the new phone saw it. Working better than ever before.
