Battery break in period?

What's everyone's opinion on the initial break in period for new phone batteries? The net has no shortage of opinions, most of them contradicting the other. I was always taught to charge it fully, deplete fully, and repeat process a second time. I've got this new 1520 and I want to do right by it.

Modern batteries don't suffer from this issue any more. Charge and use the battery whenever and as often as you like, nothing will really affect battery life.

The battery will last far longer than you (or the people after you) own the phone without significant loss of life.
