so, any of you guys have same problem after last update? got the update on thursday and everything was fine till ive launched skype... on friday morning it drained my battery completely from 06.00am to 14:30pm. so, ive restarted device and, again, it was all ok utill saturday. battery drain again, so i`ve did hard reset and did not sign in to skype and my battery life was back to normal. but, just to be sure at sunday morning i`ve again signed in to skype and guess what... battery drain.
oh, the irony, a very good update for skype indeed!
os: 8.0.10211.204
firmware: 1532.20.20005.401
vip, croatia

Oh, man... my two 8X blue and black are useless since the update.
I don't even use Skype on my 8X, have that on my private OneX+
Had to go to a store and buy a Lumia 920 (with portico pre installed) to have a business phone that works.
Luckily other co workers are holding back on the update, but mine are hand heaters right now.

Just set all options on(those that need network connectivity) until it drains the battery then turned them off and charge the phone again. That should fix your drainage.
Funny things is that for me I have them all on now and I have the same battery usage that was before the update so this is better than I expected.
One small note: I'm roaming so 3G data is off, only Wi-Fi connection, but it's all day on.
I have Skype but I don't know if it really works cause you know the software is buggy, it seems to miss notifications.

No, the issue is that I am with Swisscom, which also has another network with a different name. Then since the update when my unlocked/unbranded 8X moves into an area where it has no Swisscom reception, it no longer switches the network, runs hot,. until I reboot and select the other network. Has to do with the fact that both networks have different names but the same APN settings. Pure software thing in the HTC firmware. My branded Lumia 920 handles it just fine. The 8X did the same before the update.

For anyone interested, the HTC Hub is a battery drain. After uninstalling my phone is cooler and battery lasts alot longer. Didn't know it was until battery sense showed me a decrease of about 20% while "idling". And in actual use case, about 17%-25% decrease.

that`s the first thing i`ve deleted from my phone... anyway, i`ve installed skype yesterday and so far no drains...
