battery drain & overheating

well i got my 928 about 3 weeks ago and im happy with it except the battery seems to drain too fast, my previous phone was the N97 and that one showed full bars until it was at ~50% maybe i get a little too anxious watching my battery % going down so dramatically? when chatting using skype or facebook messenger it gets warm using wifi, 2g or 3g its like there is no difference no matter what, maybe it is the all white backgrounds of these 2 causing the problem here? i can watch 1 hour of netflix or youtube and it stays cool :S

the most annonying part is when i go to sleep i left it fully charged and when i wake up 7 hours later it has 70% wtf is going on? i tried turning things off and got the same result, even tried using airplane mode and glance&doubletap off and no background tasks and got the same again, resetting before sleep makes no difference neither, the signal is always bad no more than 2-3 bars but as mentioned i tried airplane mode anyway, the battery app says it discharges at 5.53%/hour and 18h remaining when it is fully charged and in standby with wifi on, i guess thats not normal, also i've been on wp8.1 for more than 1 week now and that made no difference

usually soft reset helps with the battery drain...have you tried it?

nop, i prefer to find the problem and fix it so i dont have to do a soft/hard reset every time i find a new problem, btw i found that my email was set to update based on my usage in the "email+accounts" menu instead of hourly as i have set it on the outlook app and now i have both of them set to "hourly" since yesterday and i dont see a difference either, trying with "as items arrive" now

Have you disabled the background tasks for apps you don't use....

What does battery saver say is using the battery most?

I too kinda wish my 928 had a bigger battery and have thought about getting and external, but so far moderate use last me whole day at work. Standby should not drain hardly at all... I dont' have glance either since it was draining un-necessary battery life... Yes, 5.5 or so was normal drain for me as well...

well im not sure mine can last an entire day from 7am to 7pm if i use it constantly, 2g & 3g seems to draw the same when in use but it overheats when using 3g, my concern is standby time really, mine is at 70% down from 100% when i wake up at 640am almost 7-8 hours after the last charge, how does yours kencaz?
