battery drain

Hi guyz
Am a recent convert frm android,its been only a week with my new 920 have updated to amber via retail updater
I never like to drain the batt but after using viber over 3g for 25 min batt went dead (which was hot) I left it for charging nd abt 4hrs later the phone seemed unusually hot.I booted the phone but was erratic nd it started to bootloop all of a sudden
Tried the soft reset then hard reset still not able to charge Or boot.....plz advice
My phone shows assembled in vietnam...its not refurbished rite?

Hi nizam, have you updated all the system apps after updating to Amber? If not then download SysApp Pusher from the link below and update all system apps. Also you can upgrade to latest Update 3 Preview using the second link:

But I cant seem to charge the phone....it gets over heated juz in a few min....
It charges for 10 min then once the batt is heated it drains even more quickly
I fid individually update a few apps like cam,my apps or sumthin plus those gps apps

Are you using the correct charger for your phone? If you are using a charger that doesn't have the correct specs you could be ruining your battery. Just a thought.

Edit: By correct specs I mean the correct voltage and amps.

or, you can just go ahead and take your phone to the nearest service. Seems to be the problem of hardware

Is your phone able to charge when connected to the computer?

1. If you start to charge battery and your phone is gettting hot after a while, i think you should take it to the repair. 2 Also, try to connect your phone to the computer and see if that helps/changes anything. If not, rule no1 Good luck
