Battery draining fast after software reset.

Greetings.

One week ago, I was forced to make a hard reset since, for some unknown reason, my Ativ S started to load a black screen with a "remaining" message everytime I pressed the lock button or windows button. I managed to solve it but now I sense my battery draining faster than before. I bought the device last year (october 2013 to be more accurated). Is it something wrong with the software or maybe the battery life usage is approaching to the end?

soft reset is like restarting a computer
wont resolve any problems.

Backup all your data and try hard reset. It will delete everything from your phone and resolve any software problems.

I had battery drain problem after both 8.1 DP and Update 1 downloads. Hard reset solved the problem both times. Kind of a pain but worth it.

I need to do that as well, my ATIV S seems to randomly choose if I get decent battery life or not at the moment.

Sorry, I made a mistake. I performed a hardware reset or "restore to fabric default" in options. And the problem persist.
