Battery failure?

I have a two week old 925 as a replacement for my last 925's microphone problems. I'm concerned that the battery may be already bad.

• Battery dropping from 100 to 60% in 30 minutes while on standby.
• Battery unable to hit 100% charge: going to 99%, then immediately down to 89%, up to 98%, down to 96%, down to 90%, up to 99%, down to 89%, all in the span of 20 minutes. Phone was charging the entire time, phone's status was Charging the entire time (never Discharging).
• Battery was charging at 65%. Restarted phone, battery was at 98%.

Hi! I was beginning to feel the same thing with my new 925 during the first week of ownership! However, after finding advice buried in the many other battery threads here, I decided to try the full charge-full discharge trick. Allow the phone to charge up to 100% (if it doesn't appear to get there, or suddenly drops back even though it's still plugged in, unplug it anyway if it's close to full!) Unplug it, switch off, then on again - this will often reset the battery gauge. Use the phone as normal, whatever you'd normally do, until it's pretty much drained. Recharge. Repeat this process, allowing the phone to discharge each time. After about three or four recharges, you'll hopefully find that the phone will now show 100% and stay charged for *much* longer! Right now, mine has been off the charger for about 12 hours, used inbetween times, and is showing 58% with 16h54mins time remaining!
Once the battery has been *trained*, it seems to have remarkable duration; far better than older Galaxy SII, which by now would have been gasping!!

My first day was the same story, but it settled in quickly after a full discharge and a full overnight charge. My issue is the battery drain while using the device. Mine is about 2% discharge in stand by and 30% during usage. Ouch!
