Battery got hot

The battery is dead on my phone. Would like to know how to get another battery

Your local gadget stores would be a good start, followed by your local service centers. If those are not available, you may try ordering one from your device manufacturer if your device has a user-replaceable battery. If your device doesn't have a user-replaceable battery, visiting the service center is the most recommended path to take.

have you tried charging the phone for a couple of hours and testing?
Which phone model is this and is it under warranty?
