Hey guys,
Would you consider a battery usage of 5-6% per hour normal, when phone is in standby mode and has 3g on (4 bars of network strength)?
The phone just sits on the table, no usage. Weather band battery apps enabled in background, skype and im+ enabled with toast and notifications.
Hello!
My battery usage at idle is a bit less, maybe 2% at idle, but it's a bit difficult to make good estimate. But I rate my battery life as good.
I don't have any weather apps running on background and I have one lightweight battery app (no logging, charts etc). Email sync is set to 30 minutes, conversation mode is "online" (facobook & messenger). I have good 3G signal here and max connection speed set to 3G. GPS (location) set on. Pictures + video skydrive backup is off (i do this manually over WLAN occasionally). WLAN is off (if I need it, I'll enable it). Bluetooth is off. Touch screen sensitivity is normal. Gaming xbox connectivity is off. Some days I have NFC on because i bought some tags to play with. I use Nokia Drive but not quite often (background task not allowed).
I have noticed that if I have a background task/app that uses data connection a lot, battery usage will of course go up. I had once my battery go down about 45% during night and found out that my Facebook password was not correctly set on the phone settings. After fixing that battery usage went back to normal. There was one discussion that mentioned that check that your account settings are OK because it can affect your battery life.
