looks like there's a bug with the battery percentage. It seems to stall. When I restart it, its either drained or charged. Right after finishing the update, I plugged in the charger. It stayed at 76% for a long while. I restarted it and it was at 100%. Then it seemed to be stalled at 100%. I restarted it again and it drained to 97%. It seems to be working fine now.. But did anybody else experience this? I feel like this is going to happen again

I had a similar sort of problem with a Nexus 5, in which the battery usage stats stayed stuck during hours of normal use, giving the same unchanging grossly abnormal readings. I tried everything in the book to fix it with no apparent effect. In the end it cleared and returned to normal, whether because of anything I'd done I don't know.

Possibly in your case a battery calibration might help? And by the way, I've got high battery drain following the 8.1 update, which I'm trying to fix on my 1020, so you're not alone.

How do you calibrate the battery?

Basically all I'm planning on doing is to allow the battery to discharge as low as I dare....definitely not right down to 0%....then charge fully. This is following a suggestion from a poster in one of the threads in the Windows Phone 8.1 OS forum....the thread title starts with 'L920' in square brackets if you want to check it out. At the moment I'm not using my 1020 much so the drain will take some time, but I'll post my results there after I've tried....and here.
