Battery performance amazed me

I have a Surface Pro (5) and the first Surface Laptop. For a variety of reasons I have not used the Laptop for over 90 days. When I grabbed it this morning to take to work, I was delighted to find the battery still at 100 percent even though the laptop has been in my backpack and not connected to power for any of that time. My Surface Pro doesn't do that.

Good to know. So it was completely powered off the whole time?

It's really unbelievable to hear. Did you remember the battery percentage before you shutdown it?

"the battery still at 100 percent" after 90 days. So before shutting down it must be 100%. Impossible for the battery to gain energy over time right?
