Coming from 2 years of WP7, the WP8 battery saver doesn't appear to behave in the same manner. Unless I've got a setting wrong.

After it kicks in and switches WiFi off, WiFi remains off even when I've reconnected mains power again.

I have to go into Settings every time and turn WiFi on again.

Is that normal?

I posted about this before also. Apparently this is how it behaves on WP8, which I think is stupid. It won't even allow you to manually turn back on WiFi when in battery saver mode. I really feel like WP8 took a huge step backwards from WP7.

Not just you but I don't believe that's how it's supposed to work.
Mine behaves just like WP7, battery saver doesn't touch my WiFi at all. Had my 920 since launch, always run with battery saver when low and never had the issue you describe.

Mine does exactly as it states. email needs to be manually synched and background tasks are paused.

My WiFi connection is not disabled

Now that's weird. Battery saver has come on tonight and kept WiFi active! Can't figure it.

Boggy, WiFi was disabled in WP7 and came on when out of battery saver.
