Battery status not working correctly with Mango?

Hi all,

I have an Omnia 7 (unbranded), updated a couple of days ago to Mango. Now, yesterday I switched my phone off (normally I never really switch it off), switched in on like 2 hours later and, et voila, battery was low and battery saving mode automatically turned on. Mobile was fully charged before I switched it off. After recharging, it still showed lowest battery level. Then, I reset the mobile to an earlier state (pre Mango). Still low battery. Now, I just installed Mango again. Still low battery indicated and no effect when charging. Funnily, the battery lasts so far, which is why I am guessing that it is not really empty. Under the menue point where you can activate the energy saving mode, it shows "1% battery life left" and "8 hours of time left". Doesn't really fit.

Anybody encountered this problem already?

I've had that a couple of times when i've flashed a new ROM.

Maybe your battery indicator has lost its sync. What I have done in the past to fix it is comptelety drain your battery, then recharge it.

Doing this fixed the issue for me.

Unless there is another problem causing it for you it might be worth a try.
