Hi Everyone. Does anyone know of an app that will tell me the percentage of battery left on my HD7?

There is no such app cuz there is no batter API at the moment

just the battery icon on the system tray

i was JUSt thinking about that !!!!

i dunno if they gona be able to do it , every time Devolopers talk about changing the interface it always end up being talk about creating an APP HUB like the HTC hub

kinda dumb :S i hope we find a way to break the interface and customise it soon.

I kinda like it how it is..unobtrusive and "hides" almost right away.

I've tried numerous battery watcher apps on android/blackberry and always seem to be looking/worrying abt. the batterys' state of happiness.

The stock battery indicator gives me enough.

I think what MS is trying to do is exactly what @cdub66 said: to make the user not worry about things like that. It's hard to get used to though because every phone we've all had has that battery meter staring us in the face all the time.

I only brought this up because of the short battery life I was having. I switched to checking mail every 15 minutes instead of push and battery life is better now.

the fact that the battery life dissapears quickly or is not IN YOUR FACE! is awsome , but when i do wana see it cause im heading to work and i wana know how much Battery life i have left for my games on the buss ( lol ) id like to know , nothing i hate more then my phone dieing on me haff way in to work. lol

might check the battery store. its the same as a toilet store only they sale batteries instead.
