BBM app is a memory hog?

Storage Sense says that BBM is currently taking 399 MB of my free memory space. Is this normal? How much space does BBM take on your phone?

Haven't checked yet, but I barely ever use it anyways. I suppose it's due to rather huge chat histories, many chats and possible many many many pictures/videos.

Sounds a lot. Have you received lots of attachments it's caching in it's storage area?

I do get some attachment occasionally, only pictures though. I also just cleared the chat histories, but the used space doesn't go down. It's currently at 407 MB.
