Behavior of back button when in Internet Explorer on WP8. Is it supposed to act this way?

Hey all,

I'm loving my Nokia Lumia Icon, but am still getting used to some the differences from my past (android) phone.

So, say I am in internet explorer, browsing around - and i open a few tabs and browse in those as well. Now, I hit the home button and do some random stuff - and then go back to IE. Here's what is confusing me...

No matter what tab i re-visit, whenever I hit the BACK button (to go back to the previous page), it takes me back to the home screen. It's as if it never retains my history....

It would be nice if there was a dedicated BROWSER button that let be go back or forward through everything.....like it should , lol.

Am I overlooking something - is it designed differently than other browser behaviors?
