Hello,

I see a lot of reviews for gaming PC builds and then separate Video Editing builds?

Anything moderately priced for both in 2021?

From my understanding, cpu is best for rendering, editing, gpu best for real time viewing. So I would want the best cpu and gpu...but that is $$$$

AMD GPU and Intel CPU???

I do game more than video edit for content creation. Would love to hear from you!

Thanks,

VePe

Well... it all depends on your chosen application(s). It also depends on the games.

Ideally, you'd not throw away cash on the gpu, as the second hand market will be FULL of cards after the 3060 arrives. Ideally, go for the FASTEST single core speed, knowing that you'll either have 4,6, or 8+ cores. Again, it depends on which application you're going to use. A super fast single core will obviously help when you come to finish off your video creation (.... as well as having a whole load of cores).

Maybe consider a 1060 or 2060. There's also the 1660ti and super versions. (All okay for 1080p gaming with a few bits switched off or turned down).

Thanks! Yes, lower end cards might be a great idea.

From what I am reading - spend more on my cpu than gpu?

Any thoughts on Intel, AMD, Nvidia?

Thanks,

VePe

It all adds up. I have no preference for Intel or AMD.

AMD do seem to be smashing Intel at this present time. To make your choice, visit any of the reviews sites to get a grip on what's ideal right now (anandtech.com)

It is pretty hard to find a new review for a gaming and video editing pc right now, especially as the new gpus and cpus are so rare!
