Best Microsoft Phone for photographers?

The thing about phones is some are on specific carriers. So you have to look at if your able to switch to even get the phone you want.

I'd rather just choose another phone that's unlocked. I've tried carrier phones, not very good in my opinion.

My friend still has Lumia 1020 and it takes good images but it's a giant size phone (for me). Is there anything good but with lesser size and good camera?

Lumia 1020 is only a 4.5" screen. It does feel very "chunky" in the hand though. It's rather thick and has that camera "puck" as well. You might want to see if you can hold a Lumia 830. It feels much less bulky in hand, is more up to date and actually has a larger screen at 5.0" which helps when composing shots and editing photos/videos. Even though it is only 10MP it is full on PureView/Zeiss/OIS goodness and takes great shots.

IMHO, anything smaller than the 1020 with a great camera is actually going to be older still and probably less worth holding onto.
