I wanted to translate some text. I opened Bing.com and typed translator, I was shocked to see that in first place was Google Translate and 2nd place Bing Translator. Doesn't MS want to support and promote its own by listing it right on top ?

I was surprised to see Play and iTunes results atop of Store results.! If I try the same with Google, Store wouldn't even turn up if I hadn't explicitly mentioned Windows Phone.. Microsoft should become a little more aggressive.

If both Google and Bing show the same results, maybe it's not a conspiracy to promote Google and it's just how the search algorithm work in relation to that particular search.

This reminds me of how Siri, when it was first released, said that the current Samsung flagship was the best smartphone. That is, until Apple deliberately changed the response!

I thought if the query was worded a certain way, Siri would consult WA and return the Lumia 900 as the best.

That could be. I just remember it giving the answer as the S3 or whatever the current Galaxy was. But I don't think it was very consistent, probably depending on choice of words.

No, it's a Google conspiracy. By the way don't miss out on my black Friday deals on pitchforks and torches! If you show a WP or Blackberry device at checkout you get an additional 20% off and a free copy of The Google Conspiracy on blu-ray

Already did. It's a great deal, only $0.01 per object, plus a 158-week long movie!
