Bing lockscreen, working fine?

I know it used to block and didn't update the wallpaper daily like it should. Has that been fixed, anyone noticed any problem with using it, does it drain the battery etc..

If it's changes the background daily then it's listed in background tasks and it does use the battery -how much ?
probably not a lot if it only changes it once every 24hrs. One way to find out is to disable it and see if the battery level
is noticeable higher or lower but I think you'd have to do that over a period of time to really see either way

No, it hasn't been fixed. I use to use this feature and loved it, and now it never updates so I just quit using it. I have a Lumia 920, with GDR3/Amber installed, with the lastest GDR3 updates released about 3 weeks ago.

Mine doesn't automatically update either. Have to change the lock screen app from Bing and back to change it. Really annoying.

Yeah luckily I run Amazing Weather HD+ as my lockscreen app with the weather forecast on it. It has an option to use Bing for the Lock wallpaper and that keeps it updated once per day perfectly. Otherwise the native option is unreliable at best I've found. Not sure why.
