Bing maps is so much better than HERE maps (in some senses)

Except it doesn't provide public transportation search. It can open OpenTable and other apps, it at times provides more search result, it is much faster, and finally it's integrated with the phone (like in search). Is there a way to ask Nokia unhide it?

thanks, I have it, but the tile is not as beautiful as the original one (personal opinion)

I completely agree. There is one option to change that... use one of the many tile customization apps on the marketplace and create a custom tile with whatever icon you want. Link it to bing.com/maps and voila! Of course, it will take a second for it to redirect to the app, that's the downside. Your only other option is to become a developer for windows phone and create the app yourself with whatever icon you want
