Bing Weather app transparency tile issue

When I turned the transparency on, the live tile stopped working and wouldn't update. Anybody else?

Ditto bing weather is broken in windows phone 8.1 / I thought I was the only one having this issue. Finally I gave up Bing weather and installed Prognoza http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=462ab4e3-9a07-4e5d-b5ff-4606a1b6d5fe

Didn't know bing weather had in-built option to turn into a transparent tile?
I couldn't see it in settings...

Nope there is no setting to make it transparent. If you have a background image set on your start screen , bing weather would just sit and never updates the weather information. I have to manually open the app to refresh the tile. Now I am back on windows phone 8.0 due to annoying issues.

Ohh I have a medium size tile pinned . And though the current weather displayed isn't accurate. But after flipping the weather update for coming 2 days is always accurate.
Don't know how it is on other devices. Hopefully cyan fixes it.

Bing weather is working fine for me on 8.1.

I have sent feedback asking them to implement the transparent tile.

I really wish Microsoft would get their *** into gear and update some of their apps to take advantage of the new start screen.

I hope it comes with 'option' of using transparent tile. I like some tiles transparent some just the way they are.

You can pin cortana weather tile to see the start screen which is always transparent
