Biometric Scanners on Surface 3?

Does the Surface 3 have any biometric scanners for Windows Hello and Microsoft Passport?

Unlikely. Requires Infra-red camera or fingerprint reader etc. And the unit has none of those.

Note: It still has a TPM so Passport will likely work, you'll just have to type your password.

Yes. The demoed facial recognition requires stereo infra red cameras that will release with new laptops in the fall with Windows 10. Current web cams will work just as web cams. At least that was what was announced somewhere.
