No much, but yes, It's your responsability if Phone is damaged.

I have done this process twice without problems.

Yes, double tap work fine.

If you have BLACK ROM, why do you must re-update? lol!

I would advise you to go ahead with the preview, as it gives all the features of the update except double tap to wake, which is surely not worth waiting for, as it will be available for all phones with the 8.1 update.

Yup. I can confirm, Yesterday I installed gdr3 preview, I'm satisfied. All from cell phone level, no need to plug to PC. And It's good because 8.1 will come in the same way. And I have no intention to wait for my provider. Especially after seeing what happens with black update on L620. It's very possible the same happens with 8.1. So I'm done with waiting.
On Nokia page I can see that Holland and Finland got their black's. Still no go for my country.. But I don't really care, GDR3 unlocked options I wanted.
