BlackBerry: 'No plans to bring BBM to Windows Phone'

I found myself laughing at this. BlackBerry, languishing at fourth place in the smartphone race, complains that Windows Phone is too small, when it sells at twice the rate and will beat BlackBerry at installed user base by the end of this year, at this rate of sales.

Well, it's their loss. It may work in their favor, though, as Windows Phone is actually enterprise-oriented (why'd you think they put Office on it?)

BBM on Windows Phone would make the low-end WP devices killer in emerging markets. BlackBerry wants to make their own splash with budget handsets... Of course they aren't going to be releasing it for Windows Phone! In areas where BBM is widely used, they will want to keep the share to themselves.

Actually, WP is much more consumer oriented than enterprise oriented (although they've done a lot on WP8 to make it more enterprise-friendly). It was Windows Mobile that was primarily enterprise oriented.
