Bluetooth headset pairing issue

I have a Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset in my office, I paired it with my 950XL. I leave the headset in my office every night after work without powering it off. I come back to office next morning, the phone will never connect to the headset automatically. I have to power off the headset and power it up again, then the phone can connect it properly.

This is actually not a new problem, my previous phone BLU Win HD (WP8.1) had the same problem. However, if I used a Samsung Galaxy S4 to pair with exactly the same headset I was able to connect to it nicely every morning. It doesn't look like the headset is defective.

Anybody has similar problem?

yes, new Lumia 950 (Aug 12 2016) will not see Plantronics Voyager Legend headset. The Bluetooth setting wheel just spins.
same headset worked on my Lumia 1020.
is it possible that the headset needs update?
