Bluetooth not playing through rear speakers

I just recently noticed this so I'm not sure if this was going on before the amber update but when I play music from my phone thru bluetooth I'm not getting any sound thru the back speakers in my car. Now if I plug it in thru the aux everything plays just fine. For the life of me I can't figure this one out! Anyone else having this issue or even noticed?...thanks

What kind of car and speakers do you have?

I don't know if the car is relevant, it's an aftermarket radio with aftermarket speakers. I'm beginning to wonder if there may be a firmware update for my car stereo that i haven't found for this latest update on the phone.
